| Tuesday, April 26, 2005 daryl and sau yee's nonsense story it must be the way that I can hear you say this now: don’t be afraid, just know that I’ll be with you somehow. All of your cries, soon they will drown in my lullabies. But if your voice were a song and that song was a lullaby, then why cant I sleep? It isn’t insomnia, it’s a hyperactive mind, bustling with thoughts: neurons sparking electricity, alive. alive and dead all at once. is that possible? the drunken prawn wasn't quite sure what was going on. two giant logs came charging at him with an astounding speed, coming nearer.. nearer.. and finally.. wraps firmly around his bulging tummy. out of the sauna, the prawn thinks maybe he is saved!!! hallelujiah!!! praise the Lord!! but something doesn't seem quite right! what's this?!?!! it appears he is being thrust into a huge, wet, slimy looking blackhole!!!! what will become of poor mr. prawn?! It’s quite amazing. Prawns change from grey to reddish during the cooking process. Why? No one knows, not even howstuffworks.com. I tried checking it up, but it yielded nothing substantial, nothing even remotely related. So what chemicals change, how does the heat play a part? The best I got was this thing off a cooking website. Very good observations though, “When they're done, their flesh will turn an ivory-opaque and there will be a bright orange hue to their tails. This can also appear as orange rings on their body, though this will vary depending on the geographical origin of the prawns.” I don’t like seafood though. seafood made him break out all over in rashes. hot, itchy red patches that demanded endless scratching with just the right amount of pressure applied. but this was the boss dammit! how could he refuse? oh hell. he jabbed at the lobster in front of him and brought it close to his mouth. he could feel his thigh itching already. he swallowed hard, felt his throat get dryer than before. meekly he speared a leaf of lettuce instead. his boss raised an eyebrow at him and he stuttered, 'ahh.. need to lose weight..' could he get any more lame? The llama song is lame and lame is the llama song. I like llamas! Llama, llama, fuzzy llama. Llama, llama, duck! My friend charmain once received a pair of llamas as a Christmas present. She liked them a lot and named the pair (one male and one female) after the person who gave them to her. Andee and Eedna— the pair of llamas. 'llamas are distant relatives of the camel.. blahblah' (i actually checked dictionary.com for the meaning tell me you are proud of me) he droned on and on, sending random flecks of spittle flying across the courtroom, narrowly missing the the jury box. the jurors heaved a collective sigh of relief and, pleased that they were paying attention to him, he continued his description of the animal with a renewed vigour. 'so there is absolutely no way the victim could have been attacked by llamas if he had not provoked them first.' he concluded triumphantly, feeling immensely proud that he had held all present captivated for the last five hours with his favourite topic. he smoothed his hair -or what remained of it anw- back carefully in preparation for the swarm of reporters who would surely take gazillions of photographs as they interviewed him. oh, this was sweet. |
