| Saturday, June 25, 2005 So many posts since my last visit here. Anyway a new chapter of my life has begun and perhaps i will not need to 'book in' for a while into the somewhat surreal world of Delta/Army. Time really flew past me and i think at least most of the guys for the past 1/2 year or so. That is what i meant when i use the word 'surreal' to describe this lack of thought, mindless rushing thru timings then suddenly, it had ended. So many incidents i looked back on with laughter, the stupid things done, the unjust treatments, the sleepless nights, the buddy that I could not talk to, the parodies on a certain memorable night, and suddenly I have disrupted for my Pre-departure course. It felt almost abrupt. Not that I am complaining about the civilian world or anything, or wanting to relive all the things done in OCS again, but somehow it feels kinda weird. At such a late hour, all the thought processes and sequences are jumbled. Begin with the end in mind, some habit by some covey person and also a familiar msn nick before certain numbers appeared. What do i really want in the end? Something so simple that was put forth to me by my uncle today, yet I had to throw a smoke grenade and retrograde. Engineering trains the mind and so? I was rather ashamed of myself. Love is such a beautiful thing, dream a little dream of me. If 2 person can have that emotional connection, words are just redundant. I had the honour of witnessing a very beautiful matrimony today. A sacrement and many many graceful hymns made my day. You alone are my strength, my shield, To You alone may my spirit yield, You alone are my heart's desire And I long to worship Thee. HJ. He is a man that I respect and trust. He is a true friend that will go through anything with me. I have never spoken about this before, so let me tell the world tonight, I am really thankful of having a friend like him. He have gone thru sh** with me, in any sense of the word. 15 of us know him from the excursion to Sikkim, and through some coincidence and lots of blessing, I have come to know him on a much more personal level than most of you. I want to thank him from deep down and he is one person that I will miss badly(like all of you) when August comes. Back to the 'end state' question, I will have to say that I want to be in a job of service and impact. To know that something positive came out after hours of work will be the most satisfying career for me. Just like how i see the smiles and joy in everyone after a gathering, so when is the next one? |
